Fees & FAQs

What is the best service for my family?

We recommend beginning with a free initial consultation so we can understand your situation and recommend the most appropriate service. For children under 13, the first step is typically a Parent Intake session. This helps establish a treatment plan. Early intervention has the longest-lasting positive impact, so we encourage families not to wait if something feels off.

Is my child too young to start therapy?

No. Our services accommodate newborns through to age 18. We specialise in infant parent psychotherapy for children from birth, and our early intervention approach is grounded in the understanding that early secure attachment significantly impacts development across cognitive, social, and emotional domains.

Are you offering in-person and online services?

Yes — both formats are available. In-person sessions take place at our Orillia location (Cocoon Orillia, 53 Andrew St. S.). Online sessions are available to clients across Ontario.

Can I call you if there is an emergency?

We do not offer crisis services. In an emergency, please call 911 or visit your nearest hospital emergency department. The Kids Help Phone (1-800-668-6868) is also available 24/7 for young people in crisis.

Are your services covered by insurance benefits?

Services align with most extended health coverage plans. As a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO, Zoe’s services are recognised by most major benefit providers. We recommend checking your specific plan details with your insurer. Receipts are provided for all sessions.

Do you offer sliding scale spots?

We reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots for families who would otherwise be unable to access support. Please mention this when you reach out and we will do our best to accommodate.

How long does therapy last?

The duration of therapy varies depending on the child’s needs and the presenting concerns. Some families find that six to twelve sessions provide meaningful progress, while others benefit from longer-term support. We review progress regularly and always involve you in decisions about the therapy plan.

What happens in the first session?

For children under 13, the first session is typically a Parent Intake — a meeting with parents or carers (without the child) to gather background information, discuss goals, and answer your questions. For teenagers and adults, we meet together from the start. The first session is about getting to know each other and ensuring you feel comfortable with the process.
